Street LEET

Introduction

The Street Leet™ version mixes the unique physical and tactical elements of the competitive arena sport with the ease of play associated with other park or beach sports – without compromising on fun! While these rules are slightly modified from professional Leet™, Street Leet™ provides a great way to play for fun or practice wherever you may be!

Setting Up

There are two easy Street LEET variations. To start, either a) mark the four corners of two rectangular end zones that are equal in size and the desired distance apart (this is up to you and obviously depends on the number of players, but anywhere between 20 - 50yds (18 - 46m) is recommended) or b) use two circular goals just over 1 yard in diameter and raised up to 5.5yds (5m) above the field (This is the more official version). Both these versions are illustrated on the left. Whichever variation you choose, mark the outer boundaries of the pitch, agree on the length of the match, and you are ready to go!

A QUICK GUIDE

  1. Usually the game is played four-a-side.
  2. The object of the game is to score more goals than your opponents during the match.
  3. Depending on the method of scoring, a goal is scored when:
  4. a) A player within their opponents' end zone catches a ball thrown by a team mate.

    b) A player shoots the ball through/against their opponents' aerial goal (This is the more official version).

  5. During the game, once a player has possession of the ball they must come to an immediate stop.
  6. A player in control of the ball may make movements to help them pass or shoot, but must otherwise remain on the spot.
  7. No player may hold the ball for more than five seconds.
  8. If the ball is loose on the ground, players may use their hands to return the ballto their stick.
  9. Any fouls result in a free-throw to the non-offending team from where the foul took place.
